My Story
I was born in Montreal, Canada. However, my southern drawl was born in Georgia where I moved to when I was three. I graduated from High School and joined the Army in 1991. I married the love of my life in 1995 and we have 2 daughters. My career with the Army lasted 27 years. During that time, I was deployed to Kosovo, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Afghanistan. I began as a combat medic (the civilian equivalent would be an EMT basic) and was able to gain enough education to enter the Army Nurse Corp. Then eventually earned a doctorate degree in anesthesia nursing, before retiring in 2020. We moved to the Pacific Northwest in the midst of COVID which is where I reside and work now.
I have been a lifelong lover of literature of all genres. Consuming everything from classics like Fitzgerald, Christie and Steinbeck to more contemporary writers like King, Michaelides and Weir. Many times, while reading a great book I thought, I could write something like that. Well, I’ve decided to test that theory. I recently completed a bachelor’s in creative writing with emphasis' in fiction and screenwriting . I have written several short stories and a feature length screenplay and started a novel that I hope to complete in late 2024. My writing ranges from science fiction to mystery/thrillers.
Through this website I hope to gain exposure for my writing. I also plan to give updates and insights into the creative process between the Blog section and the Coming Soon area, please give them a browse. Feel free to sign up for newsletters and updates via email in the Contact section.
