This is an area where I can keep you updated on the progress of my writing.
The Death of a Time Traveler is the first story I ever wrote. It began as a piece of flash fiction and evolved into the beginning of a novel. It’s the story of a time traveling detective named, Nicholas Bradley. During the course of his travels, he discovers his own gravestone complete with the day he will die. Nick realizes he simply has to avoid traveling to that day in order to cheat death. Easy right? Unfortunately, a case puts him on a collision course with that very day. I got a good start on the novel but have shelved it while I hammer out the details of the rules of time travel in this universe. The problem with time traveling detectives is people wonder why don’t they just show up at the scene of the crime and stop it? When I can answer that question in a believable way, I can finish this one. Perhaps I will send the flash fiction version to some journals and see if they are interested in publishing it, or maybe just post it here in the near future.

A Southern Girls Guide to Getting Away with Murder is my current project. Maggie Sharpe, an agoraphobic true crime podcaster, gets involved in covering up a murder to help a neighbor escape her abusive husband.
I actually completed this as a screenplay for my screenwriting capstone project and am currently working on rewriting it in novel form. I hope to complete this project in the late fall of 2024.
